Monkey Business: 48 Weeks Old

December 4th: 48 Weeks Old

This week we decorated for Christmas. I absolutely love the Christmas season!! It is just so much fun... the parties, the decorations, the twinkly lights, the food, the people, the music, the movies, etc. It is all so happy and upbeat. I feel like the world finally looks like how I feel all year round!! Heehee.

So this week we got out my 12 Christmas boxes and decorated the house. Blakely had such a good time. She loved looking through all the boxes, the ornaments, the twinkly lights... but above all else, she LOVED the tree. She would sit at the foot of the tree and gently touch the twinkly lights one by one. She loved to see how the lights would make her hands glow. It was so beautiful to watch her sit there, so still (which is the shocking part, if you know Blakely) and quiet. She was mesmerized. Hope you always loves Christmas this much!

Highlights from the Week:
- Blakely gets to stay home and play with GrandAnnie.
- Working on "soft touch" so she can play with Banks without breaking him. :)
- Blakely loves Baby! She takes Baby everywhere. Even when she crawls she has Baby clutched in her fist. It is so adorable; she has never had a lovie before. It is so sweet how tender she is with her Baby.
- Blakely loves toys with faces this weeks.
- She preferentially will play with her baby and animal toys.
- She really manipulates her toys well, looks at their faces, and tries to move their head and legs... she is sooooo smart and creative.

Blakely loved looking through the box of ornaments... especially the one of Mickey Mouse and Tigger. As Blakely dug through the box, Mommy told Blakely the story behind each ornament.
