We get to keep Aunt Olivia!!!

May 3rd: Uncle Ryan is Engaged!!! (...and KE turns 3 months old!!)

It is official!!! We all thought we would get to keep Olivia, but Ryan has made it official. He ask, she said yes!! Now, the details...

Ryan and Olivia had an adorable "meet cute," like something out of your favorite rom-com! They met almost 2 years ago at the their veterinary office. The had brought their puppies to see the doctor and hit it off in the waiting room. Olivia's mom was with her and as Ryan was walking away, she pushed her to write her name and number on a business card saying that they should get together to take their dogs to the dog park.

Ryan told us this story, and we were like "call her!!" He didn't call for a couple of weeks (probably nerves, Olivia is a knock out!), but thankfully she was still interested and agreed to meet him at the dog park. The rest is history!

So once Ryan knew he was going to ask Olivia to marry him, he had a great idea of how to surprise her.

He called the veterinary office where they met, and asked if he could use one of the exam rooms to propose. Olivia came to pick up Noah from "shots" and instead got called back to a room to find Ryan on bended knee. Needless to say the nurses in the office were going crazy!! No one had EVER got engaged in their office before. Olivia was totally shocked and surprised.

She said yes!!!
A picture of Ryan and Olivia with their little match maker, NOAH! Good Job Noah!

But more surprises were yet to come...

My family and Olivia's mother had planned (with Ryan's help) a surprise engagement party that afternoon.

Olivia thought she was just going to her moms, but pulled up to find the extended Tober clan and her mom holding white and platinum balloons in the front yard. SURPRISE!! (Hope you know what your getting into Olivia!)

We got to here the story directly from Ryan and Olivia. Olivia was still totally in shock and Ryan was super animated. The story was perfect! Had you laughing, smiling, crying...perfect! Good job Bubba!!

The RING!! The ring is beautiful, but it is the story behind the rock that is so special. This was originally my mother's diamond. 35 years ago, my dad sold his car and walked/carpooled for a WHOLE YEAR to buy my mom this ring. (Now that is love ladies! Don't settle.) To make this even more impressive is the fact that my dad was going to college in Indiana at this time, but his family still lived in Ohio. This diamond represents TRUE LOVE to me. I pray it brings as many happy years to Ryan and Olivia as it has to my parents.

Olivia and my mom hugging after my mom told the story of the diamond. A true heritage of a strong marriage.
Praying for blessings and God's will in this marriage!!

The happy couple after toasts!! My tender hearted little brother with obvious misting. So happy!

Welcome to the family Olivia!!! We are so excited to have a new sister and Aunt Olivia!!
