January 2018: Happy New Years!!

This January, we went on a Monk family vacation with Grandmom and Grandpop to Disney World!! We had never been for New Years and it was CRAZY and AMAZING!! Somehow we also managed to be there during the COLDEST weather Disney had seen in 30 years... it was 20s at night and only got as high as the 40s during the day! It was nuts! We had packed for a "normal" Orlando winter, but had to emergently purchase more clothes once we got there!! We quite literally wore EVERYTHING, EVERYDAY!! SOOOOOOO COLD... but just made the memories that much more magical!!

First night in Disney, we headed to Disney Springs for dinner at Raglan Road to celebrate our Irish roots on the Drummy side!

Finally found the Cupcake ATM!!!

On NYE, Magic Kingdom reached max capacity and EPCOT got very close! We had to wait in line for Space Ship Earth for 45 minutes and Figment was almost an hour! Call us crazy, but the crowds just made everything feel so fun and festive!!

We spent all day in Epcot, because we heard it might be hard to get in later in the day. All day was busy and fun... but night was when everything really got going!!

Happy New Year!! Headed to Biergarten for dinner!!

My FIL is a trooper! He is not a huge fan of crowds, and he braved them all day for us! This was the happiest these 2 boys were all day! Some much deserved PINTS!

Biergarten was awesome! The girls danced, sang and toasted with band! Blakely and Katy Ellis made friends and played with them for almost 3 hours! It was a great party!!!

Even Grandmom and Grandpop joined in on the party!!

After Biergarten we checked out several of the New Years parties around Epcot in the different countries!! This was from Italy where it was rave! China had a fire breathing dragon!! We had so much fun dancing the night away!

Party animals crashed hard at the end of the night! Happy New Year! What a cool kick off to 2018 and our Disney Trip!!
