Historic Gardens- We visited the local historic gardens in town during our visit, and they were BREATH TAKING! I had no idea how impressive they would be for such a small town, but they were ACRES and ACRES of gardens that even included an example of a traditional Acadian home! Richard, my gardener, was in in heaven!!
White Pines Beach Resorts- Grandmom and Grandpop also took us to White Pines! This beach was beautiful with the pebble beach and wild rabbits hoping around. The resort even provided bags of bunny feed so you could try to feed the bunnies! Both girls got to do it, and they were both so proud!
Rocking Grandpop's hat!
Katy Ellis and GrandPop feeding the bunnies!
I had never had a whole lobster, so Mr. Bill spoiled us by making local lobster for us! It was so fun learning how to get the "meat" out! Richard was a pro and picked his clean!
Every morning, Ms AnnMarie and I would get up before everyone else and go for a huge walk! We would walk around the Wild Ducks Unlimited bird sanctuary, the historic gardens, Fort Anne, and end our walk at the local coffee shop! It was just a magic start to every morning! Easily one of my favorite things about the trip!
When Blakely talks about this trip, so talks about 2 favorite things.... Grandmom's kitty and Peter Rabbit Match game!!! My sweet girl loved playing match game all day, everyday!!
You can barely tell from the pictures... but both girls pockets were heavy laden with alllll the "pretty rocks!"
Ice Cream and Dunroman campground!
Rich and GrandPop snuck off to the lobster pound to pick us out some beauties!!
Coldest ocean water I have EVER put my feet into!! Brrrrrrrr!!!
In the afternoons, one of the girls favorite activities was to color in the front yard or over by the marsh! It was just so magical to be able to enjoy cooler weather in August!!
